Mr. Leonidas (Leo) Lemonidis
Mr. Lemonidis has over seventeen (17) years experience in the energy scheduling and accounting arena as well as 25 years of software engineering excellence. He possesses strong problem solving skills and has proven to be an innovative thinker. He has graduate training in optimization, simulation and probability/statistics and has a strong customer orientation. He is well versed in utility deregulation with emphasis on UC/TE, IS, Load Forecasting and Energy Accounting. His specific experience has been in scheduling, Unit Commitment, network and contingency analysis, functional specifications development and testing, software marketing, gap analysis and needs assessment studies, proposal preparation, RFP development, vendor evaluation and selection, work package leader, project control systems, modern power systems control & optimization, energy market systems as well as in computer graphics.
Mr. Lemonidis has an extensive background with, and is proficient in, several computer languages and systems including: CPLEX, Oracle RDBMS, SQL, PC, Java, C++, VAX/VMS, FORTRAN, AIX/RS6000, Pascal and Sun.
Currently Mr. Lemonidis is engaged at the ERCOT Nodal Market implementation project and is providing market development application support. These services include:
- Developing the Texas Nodal Market Protocols and all Market system requirements;
- Assisting with the technical design of Market application functions;
- Develop practical and detailed test scenarios with test data that may reinforce and/or expose weaknesses in the design and implementation of Market Applications;
- Resolve in- and cross-project design and integration issues and help with the development of market system software; and
- Assist in the impact analysis of Nodal Protocol changes.
