Mr. Jamil S. Daouk
Mr. Daouk has over seven (7) years of information technology experience including six (6) years of California ISO (CAISO) and energy deregulation experience. During that time Jamil acted as Release Coordinator for system and application builds gained through new environment build out.
Mr. Daouk has extensive knowledge of real time system integration including Real Time Market Application (RTMA), EMS, SCADA, Settlements, and other real time applications. He has significant experience testing and debugging of applications integrating between EMS and Market systems. Jamil has completed and successfully delivered an installation procedure write-up from reverse engineering application builds.
He has extensive technical knowledge in application architecture, system architecture and design, middleware applications, and integration software and is experienced in testing automation and performance/load testing including best practices, certification and system auditing.
During his tenure at the CAISO he was heavily involved with Market Participants assisting them to prepare for the new LMP-based market in California.
Mr. Daouk also has an extensive knowledge of the business system and application development, business process methods, workflows, and project development lifecycle. He has workedwith large teams and interfaced with various stakeholders at interdepartmental meetings.
Currently Mr. Daouk is working at ERCOT for developing the new Texas Nodal Market. He supports the existing ERCOT EDS team by investigating Day ahead and Ancillary Service market trials requirements, use cases, and system functionality. He is also assisting with defining the variance/issue tracking process as well as helping with defining the ERCOT communication plan. Jamil is also supporting the development of and contributing to the content to the EDS 4 detailed testing plan and market participants guides, development of market trial test data and supporting the staffing coordination of internal ERCOT resources to support EDS 4 testing activities. Mr. Daouk is also coordinating with ERCOT’s transition team to ensure that resources are properly prepared for EDS 4 testing phase of the Texas Nodal Market implementation.
