ECCO International is offering a single-day intensive training session. This session is presented by "the experts", the main staff that lead the market rule, design and software effort. No other firm can match ECCO International's deep and comprehensive understanding of the MRTU Program and associated issues.
The general outline of the course is provided below and will include instructional dialog related to the following topics:
- Integrated Forward Market (IFM)
- Unit Commitment
- Day-Ahead Energy Scheduling
- Clear supply and demand bids
- Ancillary Services Procurement
- Meet Ancillary Services requirements based on Demand Forecast
- Network Constraints
- Interties
- Settlements
- Related Issues
- Market Power Mitigation (MPM)
- Identify resources that can potentially exercise market power due to local constraints
- Mitigate incremental energy bids from identified resources
- Use Reliability Must Run (RMR) contracts to meet local reliability requirements effectively
- Preserve energy scarcity price signals
- MPM in DA and RT
- Related Issues
- Residual Unit Commitment (RUC)
- Unit Commitment
- Secure available capacity to meet the Demand Forecast in real time
- Preserve IFM Energy Schedules and RMR Schedules (from MPM Pass 2)
- Backed down only under penalty
- Award RUC Capacity above IFM Energy Schedule
- Except for Minimum Load and capacity under RMR or RA
- Real-Time Market (RTM)
- Unit Commitment
- Hourly Pre-Dispatch
- For hourly Inter-Tie Resources
- Real-Time Dispatch
- Ancillary Services Procurement
- Meet Ancillary Services requirements based on Demand Forecast
- Settlement
- Related Issues
Based on the description of the types of information participants are interested in obtaining from an overview course there will be ample time provided to the audience to address specific questions related to each topic.
